About RenCon Ranch
Its Owners and Their Shetland Sheep

Renée Tully and Conrad Tracy are the proud owners of a small ranch in the beautiful California Foothills. They established the ranch upon their retirement. Renée is a Holocaust survivor, she was an executive secretary for Siemens and an avid knitter and Conrad an electrical engineer with Lockheed. Conrad takes care of the flock and Renée of the wool.
We are small breeders of pure bred, NASSA registered, Shetland sheep, flock No.748. The Shetlands are a primitive breed that thrives on limited acreage and require minimum care. The breed gives a soft, yet strong and durable wool. Their beautiful fleeces are a delight to spin and ideal for knitting and weaving. They are prized by hand spinners. The fleeces come in a wide variety of colors ranging from white to black; and are very versatile being either single or double coated. The staple ranges in length between 3-7 inches. All our sheep are in the USDA voluntary SCRAPIE program and OPP negative.
